Coverage details

Covers reported SR-2 conditions from listed sources — some nearby roads aren't monitored. See what's included.

This page shows full-road conditions reported by MountainSwitch's listed SR-2 sources, including District 8 feed rows outside the modeled Wrightwood approaches.

Those route-wide reports don't expand the Wrightwood verdict. Its west path begins at Islip Saddle and its east path ends at Big Pines Highway after crossing the county line from Sheep Creek Drive. District 8's standing Islip Saddle-to-Vincent Gulch closure is inside only the west path and does not make the east approach unavailable. District 7's Newcomb's Ranch-to-Islip span remains outside the destination verdict.

Conditions can change quickly in the mountains. This page never replaces chain requirements, closures, or official Caltrans guidance. This boundary supports no destination-access claim about SR-2 west of Islip Saddle or District 7's Newcomb's Ranch-to-Islip span. Neither surface makes a safe-to-drive or all-clear claim.
