Coverage details
Covers reported SR-28 conditions from listed sources — some nearby roads aren't monitored. See what's included.
This page shows full-road conditions reported by MountainSwitch's listed SR-28 sources, including District 3 feed rows east of the modeled Tahoe City approach to the California–Nevada state line.
Those route-wide reports don't expand the Tahoe City verdict: its SR-28 span runs from the SR-267 junction in Kings Beach to the SR-89 junction in Tahoe City. The Kings Beach-to-state-line stretch remains route-level only, and NV-28 and Mount Rose Highway beyond California are outside coverage and must be verified separately.
Conditions can change quickly in the mountains. This page never replaces chain requirements, closures, or official Caltrans guidance. This boundary supports no destination-access claim east of Kings Beach or any claim about NV-28 and Mount Rose Highway. Neither surface makes a safe-to-drive or all-clear claim.
