Coverage details

Covers SR-41 from the SR-49 junction in Oakhurst to Yosemite South Entrance — some nearby roads aren't monitored. See what's included.

MountainSwitch monitors SR-41 from the SR-49 junction in Oakhurst through Fish Camp to the Caltrans South Entrance state-route terminal. District 6 provides operational road evidence for both the Madera and Mariposa portions; District 10 owns administrative geometry for the Mariposa portion. Wawona Road and all roads inside Yosemite National Park are outside this coverage, so no Wawona, in-park, or safe-to-drive verdict is provided.

Fish Camp and Oakhurst share part of SR-41, but they have separate destination verdicts. Oakhurst's existing access truth remains unchanged; Fish Camp uses the reviewed northbound span from the SR-49 junction through the South Entrance terminal.

Conditions can change quickly in the mountains. This page never replaces chain requirements, closures, or official Caltrans guidance. Wawona Road, Wawona, National Park Service-managed roads, roads inside Yosemite, and local roads are outside this answer. This page makes no safe-to-drive or all-clear claim.
