This page shows full-road conditions reported by MountainSwitch's listed SR-89 sources, including District 3 feed rows outside the modeled Palisades Tahoe, Tahoe City, and South Lake Tahoe approaches.

Those route-wide reports don't expand any destination verdict. Palisades Tahoe covers the Placer / Nevada county line to the Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows entrances; Tahoe City covers the Placer / Nevada county line south to the SR-28 junction; South Lake Tahoe's southern path covers Picketts Junction through Luther Pass to the US-50 junction at Meyers. The west-shore span south of Tahoe City through Sunnyside, Homewood, and Tahoma toward Emerald Bay remains Phase 2. Luther Pass chain reporting comes from a single checkpoint, and District 3 carries no Alpine County lane-closure reporting.

Conditions can change quickly in the mountains. This page never replaces chain requirements, closures, or official Caltrans guidance. This boundary supports no claim about the west-shore span south of Tahoe City through Emerald Bay or conditions beyond the modeled destination approaches. Neither surface makes a safe-to-drive or all-clear claim.
